Often, when innocently, cycling through the woods (and I can reassure you that I ONLY cycle innocently through the woods, just in case you're wondering) I'll come across a heaving mass (the correct collective noun) of these people, usually led by a diminutive female with a loud personality barking out various orders to her charges: "Arme gerade halten!", "Locker lassen!" etc. On account of their sticks, each walker is approximately 3.5 times wider than a normal person, thus rendering the task of overtaking this slow-moving and ungainly group no easier than getting past a gang of rotund geriatrics.
